Future Energy Global signs Bodø e-SAF Declaration

Climate change demands urgent action, and aviation already contributes over 5% of total climate impact, including non-CO2 effects.

To decarbonize European aviation safely and efficiently, and ensure the sector continues to play important economic and societal functions, Sustainable Aviation Fuel is the key lever for immediate emissions reduction.

E-SAF, in particular, offers scalability beyond many biogenic alternatives.

Future Energy Global is proud to be one of the initial signatories of the Bodø Declaration today (April 10), which brings together E-SAF producers, technology providers, aircraft and engine manufacturers, airports, policymakers, researchers, and NGOs in driving the transition toward climate-neutral aviation.

The Declaration calls for measures such as:
– ensuring long-term regulatory certainty for SAF through 2050, with stable mandates to enable investment
– supporting market-based measures like the EU ETS to provide incentives to shift away from fossil fuels and increasing the SAF allowances to ensure longer
planning horizons for investors
– enabling long-term offtake, through intermediation between SAF producers and offtakers
– supporting a European book & claim system to ensure maximum emission reductions with optimised economics
